4.9 from 776 Google reviewsWhen your van is off the road, you're losing work. We supply and fit van tyres in Poole, Bournemouth and across Dorset for tradespeople, delivery drivers, small fleets and campervan owners. You can choose from budget, mid-range and premium tyres, and we'll fit them at our Poole depot or wherever your van happens to be.
Most vans run on commercial tyres, sometimes called light truck tyres. You'll spot them by the letter C after the rim size on the sidewall, for example 215/65 R16C. Compared with a car tyre of a similar size, a commercial tyre has a stronger construction, built to carry heavier loads day after day.
Commercial tyres often show two load index numbers, such as 109/107. The first is the rating when the tyre is used as a single wheel. The second applies when tyres are fitted in pairs on twin rear wheels, as on some larger vans and minibuses.
A few points worth knowing:
If you're not sure what's on your van now, we'll read the sidewall and match it correctly.
We know a van isn't just transport. It's your workshop, your stockroom and your income. That's why we fit van tyres at your home before you set off, at your yard, or on the job site while you get on with the work, as long as there's safe space for us to do it.
If a tyre lets you down mid-job, our emergency tyre fitting service has an average arrival time of under 60 minutes.
Plenty of vans in Dorset start early on frosty mornings and spend the day on rural lanes, farm tracks and building sites. All-season commercial tyres are designed to perform across a wider range of temperatures than standard summer tyres, so you can keep one set on all year and avoid swapping in autumn and spring. For a working van, that's one less job to schedule. We'll explain whether all-season tyres suit your mileage and the kind of work you do.
If you run several vans, keeping on top of tyres can become a job in itself. With eight fully equipped mobile vans we can often fit around your working hours. If you have regular tyre work, talk to us about how we can help keep your vehicles moving.
Many campervan conversions run on the same commercial tyres as the van they're based on. Motorhomes are heavier, and some use tyres designed specifically for them, marked "CP" on the sidewall. Both tend to sit still for long spells between trips, which ages tyres faster than you'd expect. Our caravan and motorhome tyre page explains how to check a tyre's age.
Usually not. If your van's manufacturer specifies a C-rated commercial tyre, a car tyre is unlikely to meet the load rating. Fit a tyre that matches or exceeds the load index and speed rating in your handbook.
Yes. We fit van tyres at homes, yards and job sites, provided there's safe, level space to work. Let us know about any site rules or access times when you book.
Check your handbook or the sticker inside the driver's door. Many vans list different pressures for light and full loads, so set them for the weight you usually carry.
