Emergency mobile tyre fitting across Dorset

A flat tyre never comes at a good time. It happens on the school run, on the way to a meeting or on a dark lay-by miles from home. Our emergency mobile tyre fitting service is built for exactly those moments. Call us, tell us where you are, and a fully equipped van will come to you. Across our Dorset coverage, our average arrival time is under 60 minutes.

Most new cars no longer carry a spare wheel, only a can of sealant or nothing at all. Rather than waiting for a recovery truck to take you to a garage, we bring the replacement tyre to you and fit it where you are.

When to call us

  • A flat or punctured tyre with no usable spare
  • A blowout or sudden loss of pressure on the road
  • A tyre damaged by a kerb or pothole, with a bulge or a cut in the sidewall
  • A tyre pressure warning light that comes on and won't go off, with a tyre visibly losing air
  • A spare wheel you can't get off because the locking wheel nut key is lost or broken

We're open 8am–6pm Monday to Saturday and 9am–6pm on Sunday, including weekends when many tyre shops are shut. Outside those hours, we offer an out-of-hours emergency callout for flat tyres and blowouts.

What happens when you call

When you ring, we'll ask for three things:

  • Your location. A postcode, road name, junction or what3words all help.
  • Your tyre size, which is printed on the side of the tyre, for example 205/55 R16. Your registration also helps.
  • Whether you have the locking wheel nut key. It's usually in the glovebox or the boot.

We'll give you a clear, all-in price and an idea of when the technician will reach you. Our vans carry a wide range of common tyre sizes, so in most cases we can fit a new tyre there and then. Where a puncture is in a safe, repairable area of the tread, we can often repair the puncture instead.

Staying safe while you wait

  • Pull over somewhere safe and level, as far from traffic as you can.
  • Switch on your hazard warning lights.
  • On a busy road, get out on the side away from traffic and wait behind a barrier if there is one.
  • Don't drive on a flat tyre. It can damage the wheel and make a repairable tyre unrepairable.

Why drivers call Freeway

We've been fitting tyres at the roadside since 1990, and we're still a family business. Our eight vans are spread across Dorset from our depots in Poole and Shaftesbury, so there's usually a technician not far away. Every emergency job comes with the same all-in pricing as a planned fitting: the tyre, fitting, balancing, a new valve and disposal of the old tyre.

If it isn't an emergency, you can book mobile tyre fitting for a time that suits you instead.

Frequently asked questions

How quickly can you reach me?

Our average emergency arrival time is under 60 minutes. The exact time depends on where you are and how busy we are, and we'll give you an estimate when you call.

Are you open 24 hours?

Our depot is open 8am–6pm Monday to Saturday and 9am–6pm on Sunday. Outside those hours, we offer an out-of-hours emergency callout for flat tyres and blowouts. Call us and we'll tell you how quickly we can reach you.

Can you come to me on the motorway or a dual carriageway?

For your safety, if you've broken down on a motorway or a fast dual carriageway, call the emergency services or your breakdown provider first. Once you've been moved somewhere safe, we can come and fit a new tyre.

Do you charge extra for an emergency callout?

Call us and we'll give you a clear, all-in price before we set off, so there are no surprises.

Can you fix a puncture instead of replacing the tyre?

Often, yes, if the puncture is in the central part of the tread and isn't too large. If it isn't safe to repair, we'll explain why and fit a new tyre instead. Call 0800 7311 260 to get help now.
