Cookie Policy
Last updated: 17 October 2026
This policy explains how freewaymobiletyres.co.uk uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them. It's run by Freeway Mobile Tyres Ltd (company number 11263953). For how we handle personal information in general, see our privacy policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small files that websites save in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage, work in the same way. Some are essential to make a website work. Others are set by third-party services embedded in a page, such as a video or a map.
Our approach
We keep things simple. Our own website only stores what it needs to work. Anything from a third party that may set cookies stays switched off until you say yes in our cookie banner. We don't use analytics or advertising cookies.
What we use
Essential (always on)
| Name | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
fmt-consent (local storage) |
Remembers whether you accepted or rejected cookies, so we don't ask again | Until you clear your browser data |
Third-party content (only with your consent)
| Service | Where it appears | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| YouTube (Google) | Background video on the home page | Plays our video. It uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, but YouTube may still store information on your device. |
| Google Maps | Contact page | Shows our depot on a map. Google may set cookies when the map loads. |
| Elfsight | Reviews section on many pages | Displays our latest Google reviews. Elfsight may store information on your device. |
If you reject cookies, these simply don't load. You'll see a summary or a link instead, for example our rating with a "Read them on Google" link, or "Open in Google Maps". On those, you can press Show map or Show reviews to load that one item for your current visit only.
For how these companies use information, see the Google privacy policy and the Elfsight privacy policy.
Changing your choice
You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential storage just means we'll ask about cookies again on your next visit.
